Dreams ask for a bed of sleep

Imagination then makes a leap

Taking us to new destinations

That exist without foundations

The mind stays awake, working

Thoughts need constant churning

We’re tired, but the mind is not

There are many tickets bought

Dreams may be forced upon us

Some vague and superfluous

There isn’t any meaning

It’s the mind’s way of cleaning

Of the many, one dream sticks out

So real, putting paid to all doubt

We embrace it with open eyes

It comes alive with the daily sunrise
