Existence
It forgives, if we change how we live

Our presence or absence
It makes little difference
Existence has other priorities
It’s given out many warranties
All creatures under its ambit
Microbes to us run the gamut
Each gets a place under the sun
Away from the rest, we’ve spun
Charting our individual course
Going up against an invisible force
The odds aren’t in our favor
We get a handful of moments to savor
What we consider as a victory
Pure and simple, it’s trickery
Acting as if we are immortal
We define what is moral
Donate just one breath
To take in existence’s breadth
It is vast beyond imagination
For eternity, it’s been in operation
We are given a little garden
We’re careless, as if it’s a burden
Sowing the seeds of destruction
It’s easy to guess the future direction
Existence will always forgive
But we must change how we live
Making our presence worthwhile
By caring for our home, this golden isle
