Form and the formless
We are both

The formless exists as is
In front of us, it’s easy to miss
We live in a world of matter
There is more behind all its glitter
The formless is hard to catch
We are such a mismatch
Accustomed to touch and feel
Sight and sound, make it all too real
The mind that doesn’t have a form
We work hard to change and reform
An abstract friend, who never leaves
Its hand is in all that a human achieves
We cannot deny the formless
Through a form, its ideas express
We are a perfect blend of both
When together, there’s growth
The body is the pinnacle of form
With life, it’s welcoming and warm
Staying grounded, keeping it still
It’s easy to conform to the formless will
The body hosts the mind’s formless past
Such a seamless joint, it’s unsurpassed
There’s so much to investigate
Between the two, a fight we instigate
Drawn go one side by dreams
So powerful, they pull at the seams
Between the form and the formless
We’re left seeking what we can’t possess
The inward path celebrates the formless
We are here on account of its largesse
A storehouse of energy we depend on
Supplying both the happy and the forlorn
As we lose form and structure
The way ahead, it’s not a clear picture
A stumbling block, we must try to cross
Finally, the essence may come across
The gap, it can become formidable
Giving into thoughts makes it impossible
Thoughts have a surreptitious form
In a formless mind, they hold firm
Thoughts move about with such ease
They hold the keys to our peace
Either locking us in the world of form
Or freeing us, so we don’t have to conform
Happiness is formless, so is contentment
Both, hard to possess, unlike resentment
By dropping the idea of ownership
To the formless, we can jump ship
In a formless world, we truly belong
Words are absent, silence is the song
We need not reach, we’re already there
We’ve lost the key, being open and aware
Awareness, the door to the formless
When we persevere, there will be success
When we see the magic of creation as is
We can’t go anywhere leaving this
