Full of tyrants and saints
Gratitude and complaints
Book of history beckons
Adding to its lessons

There is much to learn
To prevent a faulty turn
Like us, were once people
We now call medieval

History can’t look ahead
It becomes today’s bed
The future will remember
Our time, it will be a number
