The mirror of consciousness shows

The secret of time, and where it goes

We don’t have pockets that can hold time

It disappears without a warning chime

The mirror of consciousness will disclose

The way to a relaxing repose

When we stop clawing on the mind

Holding onto the past, and falling behind

The mirror of consciousness will not delay

In revealing our expectations, when we pray

Time’s running away, the bubble will burst

We won’t disappear if the ego is pierced

The mirror of consciousness will emerge

And sing to the mind a dirge

Leaving us the key to eternal youth

When all we breathe is the truth
