Waves dance and frolic

With the zeal of a workaholic

Day and night, from the tropic

To the icy waters of the arctic

Never letting the sea rest

Movements, they’re obsessed

Called by the wind to soar high

The sea lets them comply

Caressing delicate sandbars

Watched by the distant stars

Romancing with the shore

Their frothy beauty we adore

Victims of a windy frenzy

They can turn deadly

Waves, their carefree ways

Cannot remain, as always
