What matters little

Can test our mettle

Letting go is hard

In the ego’s backyard

Time will not settle

For what matters little

It’s brush strokes clean

Remnants won’t be seen

Our purse matters little

When life’s so brittle

Each breath, a razor’s edge

There’s no way to hedge

What matters little

No need to belittle

The wise quietly let go

What matters, they know
