Wheel of time
It has its designs

Days will get brighter
Hearts will breathe lighter
As good times make a return
We must not forget this burn
We hurt, as the earth heals
We’ve ignored softer appeals
Hitting the pedals so hard
Leaving this paradise scarred
It won’t ask us to repent
To cause harm isn’t the intent
The mother world forgives
Her love continuously lives
There will be challenges
Tests that work to balance us
We tilt one way or another
With the mind, a naughty brother
Consequences we can avoid
Limiting what is enjoyed
By the mind and its army
Theirs is a different journey
As we wait for days to get taller
The mind works to make us falter
Culling our efforts with ease
Infecting us with fear of disease
Open hearts are surely spared
By despair, they can’t be snared
They patiently wait for good times
The wheel of time has its designs
