When a rare flower blooms.
Changing the mind’s landscape
A rare flower blooms, unhurried
There are no favors to be curried
Hidden from prying eyes
There is no need for a disguise
In full bloom, a sight to behold
There’s secrecy it tries to uphold
Honoring the hand of nature
That works so hard to nurture
From a flower to the largest star
It is evident from where we are
The scale, of the manifest
Our tiny speck is so blessed
Organic life has long ago sprouted
In retrospect, we would have doubted
Could such a thing be possible
Odds would have been improbable
Hostile clouds full of dust and rock
May have carried seeds to unlock
Treasure houses of the living
The vital link may now be missing
It’s undeniable, we’ve come a long way
A delicate flower is free to sway
The breeze is gentle and the sky clear
Paradise could not be any more near
