Whispers from within
We rarely listen
The whispers from within
Deep underneath the skin
It is a voice of antiquity
Living in quiet dignity
It is our treasure chest
Where the soul takes rest
It can’t be too far away
We see, a faint ray
Along with the whispers
Ideas of deep thinkers
Carry the world ahead
It’s how science has spread
Making all lives better
It’s the modern world’s lever
Pulling the masses along
Into a new age, headlong
But, we should not forget
Whispers, they aren’t a threat
They are there to aid
Not to influence or persuade
To the mind, they may be bitter
As they function as a mirror
Talking to us on even terms
Knowing our deepest concerns
Listen to the whispers from within
They can help turn pride thin
So we may fit in the pin-hole
From where emerges the whole
